Spring Fever

I went to Barnes and Nobles today with the intent of buying a magazine. Love Magazine has finally arrived to New York. I was very excited about Love when I first heard Katie Grand was starting a new magazine. However, hardly anything in Love appeals to me, or if it does I have already read about it 100 times before. Love has nothing new or exciting to offer. Also I’m turned off by how hard Love has been pushing itself to be sold. If the magazine is good why is it necessary to throw it down everyone’s throats? So I didn’t see the point of dropping 17.99 on it today. On the good side it’s a biannual issue so it will be on the selves for months, so I’m positive that one day out of boredom I will buy it.

Luckily I didn’t leave Barnes and Nobles empty handed. Russh 26 has finally arrived! I snatched it up immediately. I didn’t even have to look at the contents to convince myself to buy it. I had bought the previous issue featuring Karlie Kloss, but I never got around to doing a post about it. Well just like the last issue, Russh 26 does not disappoint. I feel like Russh is an amazing fashion magazine, they are always young, fresh, and on trend without being too cheesy. Behati looks stunning on the cover, and the models within the issue are beautiful as well.

This weekend however I’m going to be on the look out for The Last magazine. I bought their first issue, featuring Daria Werbowy and Julia S. The second issue features an ethereal Natasha Poly on the cover. The inside contents look amazing as well. Above is a picture from the previous issue.

F/W 0910 Best Accessories

Alexander McQueen Bracelet, Burberry Bracelet

Comme Des Garcons Veil, Hermes Belt, Micheal Kors Necklace
I feel as though the Comme Des Garcons veils will be everywhere in editorials. Just like the Louis Vuitton ones from not too long ago. That collection was indeed my favorite of the season. I was also pleasantly surprised with how good Micheal Kors was. In times of economic hardship some designers really shine, and Micheal was one of them. His collections are normally really All American and cheesy. But this season he took the All American look and added a little rock and biker chic to it.

Roberto Cavalli Purse, Chanel Back Pack, Alexander Wang Tote
I haven’t liked a Roberto Cavalli collection in a while, but this season was great. I do feel that Roberto that went with the trends, but they were well executed so I’m not complaining. I’m still on the fence with Chanel. Karl is never good with fall winter collections. However, when I saw this back pack I instantly fell in love. I feel as though it was made for the Blair Waldorfs of the world to wear to school. The Alexander Wang tote is a blog world favorite. Park and Cube has an excellent on DIY on this bag. Wang’s collection was amazing, but it was much better than the crap he put out last season. I’m a little surprised how few bags I liked from this season. It seems as though designers are more focused on shoes now.

Givenchy Spiked Heels (Both on outside), Chloe Heel
I wasn’t sure about the Givenchy collection at first. However I soon realized that the beauty was in the details. So once again Ticsi has won me over. Chloe was good as well. I’m just so happy that Chloe is back to looking like how it did with Phoebe was there that I’m willing to turn a blind eye to any bad parts of the collection. By next season I won’t be so generous.

Alexander McQueen Spiked Boot, Louis Vuitton Boots, Burberry Ankle Boot, Jean Paul Gauliter Doc Martens
After two seasons of foolishness, Louis Vuitton finally put out a collection that I loved. Burberry in my eyes was very minimal. There was nothing ground breaking. However it was still a beautiful collection. It’s suits the relaxed artist in me. Lastly JPG comes in second of my favorite collection of the season. Everything was amazing. And I give tons of props to any designer who places Docs on their runway.
Inspiration # 7: Spring

Van Gogh Painting, Rock and Republic Advertisement, “Flashing Lights” by Kanye West
For spring I want to do a return to elegance. More blazers and skinny pants with heels. Less studs and punk items. I feel this past fall I really let popular trends take over my wardrobe. So for spring I want to return to my original ideas of a perfect wardrobe. So I’m going keep it classy with the clothes themselves, and be edgy and rock out with my accessories.
I included the Flashing lights video in my inspiration for Spring because I love the girl’s swagger. Just the way she walks is perfect.
