Chanel Fall Winter 2006

I feel this collection goes perfectly with trends that are hot right now. It is full of this rock chic essence. At first glance the collection seems so young at heart, but at further inspection you realize how formal the pieces could be. Any woman of any age could wear these pieces. Karl made great use of leather, and sheer materials. I loved the slouchy dresses (like the one seen above on Daria), it was so effortless chic.

The hair and make-up was extraordinary. All the girls looked so cool! I loved the black streaks and navy ribbons combo.

The accessories were to die for as always with Chanel. The gloves were perfect, especially the fingerless pair with a bow. The pantent leather tote at Chanel was born in this collection. There were the classic Chanel cuffs throughout the collection. The accessories that stole my heart however were the snake skin above the knee boots. Years later I’m still lusting over them.

Who ever said an extra black line could hurt?

Also I’m loving the black lip gloss at JPG couture. I guess the fashion world is taking that trend seriously.

untitled-12F21 Bag, i-D Magazine (September 2008), Bebe Shoe.

The heel on this Bebe Shoe has been haunting me for the last few days. So much so that I had to sketch it in my notebook. I could not for the life of me remember where I saw it. However, browsing the Bebe website today, I remembered that I had saw it months ago on an intern job for Bebe. Anyway it’s a pretty sick heel.

In other news I’ve been tagged.

This being tagged thing is harder than I thought. Ginny tagged me. There were two other parts to the tag, but I still can’t think of exactly what to say to those parts. It’s hard to come up with answers, because my life revolves around fashion. Therefore most of the answers that instantly come to my mind, you guys wold probably already know. So on the other two parts I want to take some time to think of cool stuff to mention about myself that isn’t so obvious. If anyone cares.

But for now; 6 Things That Make Me Happy.

1)    Brand new magazines
2)    Brand new drawing pencils. Gift cards to art stores like Pearls, and Blick. Pretty much anything that will result in me doing some form of visual art.
3)    Watching Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends.
4)    Playing monopoly with my cousins.
5)    Fashion Week, and Paris Couture Shows.
6)    Going shopping without feeling the burden of a budget. Extra points if I find things that I truly love and know I will wear forever.

I tag Withasianstereotypes, Jamie Wears Black, Shini of Park and Cube, Paper Costumes, Pryhh and Arousment (of xanga).

All these people have pretty amazing blogs, that they have probably been tagged already.

Barbara Martelo works as a stylist for Vogue Espana. Although her the quality of her work is questionable, her personal style is known to be fantastic.

Let It Rip

William Rast S/S 09 and Alexander Wang S/S 08 do the trend at it’s best.

Yesterday I saw a denim editorial in Teen Vogue’s February issue. Since then I’ve been dreaming of perfectly ripped jeans and denim shorts. It’s also a trend that’s been popular on the blogs and on fashion models like Anja Rubik as well.

I’m kicking myself for only now realizing how amazing Givenchy has been all these years.

Each collection on style.com is beautiful. Head Designer for the house Riccardo Tisci has added a romantic goth touch to the Givenchy clothes.

The house gets better with every collection. I can’t wait for Spring Summer Couture.

My favorite collections from Tisci are Fall Winter 2008, and Spring Summer 2009. However, at the moment I am memerised by the Lace make-up from the Spring Summer 2006 couture. I really wish I could find better photos of it.

Dream Home

blog2Marc Jacobs leather tote, Urban Outfitters skull candle, Lanvin Flat

Lately I’ve been thinking about what I want my dream home to look like. It will be an apartment of course. A one bedroom, with a quaint kitchen and chic living room. I’ll convert the bedroom into a walk in closet of course, and probably move my bed into the living room. Which makes sense, the amount of clothes I’ll have will need plenty of breathing space. I would definitely place the skull candle (seen above) in the bathroom. There would be  grand book case to hold all my magazines. Oh, and I would have a huge photo of Kate Moss hanging over my bed. My apartment would be inspired by Alexander Wang’s Soho offices. I just love his furniture.
